Carver is a male Fox Keidran and a member of the Clovis' Guild, ran by Clovis himself. Carver acts as an antagonist to Group B during Chapter 19 after he is sent by Clovis to capture Zen for deserting the guild to find his brother Natani. Carver finally tracks Zen and the rest of Group B camping at a hot spring near Edinmire. Zen was considered an important target for the guild due to the fact he was aware of Trace Legacy's location who the they seem to be after.
Although things seemed dire for Group B after Carver gained the drop on them he eventually failed in his mission due to the combined efforts of Raine, Mrs. Nibbly and Zen himself. After the group broke free of his trap and seeing Raine's power awaken at the sight of an injured Mrs. Nibbly he attempted to teleport away but Raine directed her own magic to give Carver's teleportation a "push", making him teleport far away from where he intended. After the spell was finished he found himself stranded on Western Basidian Islands.
In Carver's true Fox Keidran form, he has white fur below his nose with orange filling out the top and black ears. Carver has orange eyes and black markings around his snout.
In his Human illusion form he has orange eyes and hair, the latter of which is half shaved and the other half is long an unkempt. He has two markings under both eyes and wears an dark orange feathered robe.
Carver reveals himself in his Human form to Group B when Red fails to blow open the strange magic dome that appeared to be surrounding them, taunting him for his expulsion from the Templar Academy and the poor escape attempt. From outside the dome Carver reveals he had originally intended to ambush them directly to capture Zen but thought it would be more enjoyable to watch everyone in the dome pass out after consuming the limited air supply, then capture Zen. After an analysis from Raine, she suppects Carver is actually a Keidran, a guess that he is quite impressed by due her being woman. Unknown to Carver Mrs. Nibbly had been outside of the dome the while time and attacks his face, causing him to drop the large Mana Crystal me was using to sustain the large barrier together. While Carver is distracted and with the barrier weakened Zen using Raine's magic suppressor shackle to break through the dome, severely injuring his leg in the process. Carver quickly takes the upper hand on Mrs. Nibbly and throws her against a tree, which causes Raine's magical power to spike and her to glow with magical energy. Seeing the potential Raine's power and the odds turned against him, Carver decides retreat by teleporting away, but Raine gives him an extra "push" with her own magic and teleports him somewhere much farther away than he intended.
Carver later appears dazed on the beaches of the Western Basidian Islands mumbling to himself that he should try to find a way back to Clovis from wherever he is, but leave out the part where he was outsmarted by a woman and a squirrel. The panel then ends as he is suddenly faced by three Western Basitin sisters who hold him at spearpoint.
Personality[]
Carver is a sly and calculated agent of Clovis' Guild, he is skilled in ambush attacks and plan making but this can also suggest he has a lack of honor. He also seems to be bit if a sadist, he tells Group B that he could have easily beaten them by himself with a surprise attack however, he instead opted to deprive them of air and "watch them pass out with terrified looks on their faces instead". Carver can also be pretty condescending, he seems amused that the real Templar panicked as they did when his guild's attack on Edinmire happened.
Like his boss Clovis and most other members of their guild Carver has sexist views against women, telling Raine that "For a woman, you're pretty clever" as well as mumbling to himself that he should leave out the part where he was beaten by Raine when he finds his way back to Clovis. Overall it is not known what Carver's motivations are for doing what he does but he is a very large threat due to his significant skill in magic and seemingly lack of remorse for what his job can require.

Trivia[]
The spell that Carver uses to disguise himself as a Human is not the same as "Perfect Transformation" used by Euchre. Although the two spells seemingly give to the same effect, Perfect Transformation is apparently much more in depth and thorough in it's disguise, whereas Carver's spell merely changes his appearance.
